Is Adapalene gel good for removing acne marks

The main ingredient of Adapalene Gel is Adapalene, a retinoid compound. Adapalene has the function of dissolving acne, inhibiting sebum secretion and certain anti-inflammatory effects, and is mainly used in the clinical treatment of acne vulgaris, which is mainly acne pimples, papules and pustules. There are two types of pimple marks, namely red pimple marks, which are caused by local vasodilatation when acne attacks, and the blood vessels do not recover immediately after acne subsides, resulting in limited red spots. The other type is black acne marks, where the local inflammatory reaction causes damage to the skin tissue, and the pigmentation after the inflammation results in darker black acne marks. If the inflammatory reaction is so severe that it damages the dermal collagen, it will form what we usually refer to as acne pits. Adapalene gel has an anti-inflammatory effect and may have some effect on the newly formed red acne marks, but it has little effect on black acne marks and pits. For the treatment of acne marks, the first thing to do is to avoid scratching, otherwise it will aggravate the inflammatory reaction of acne and make it more likely that acne marks will appear. The next step is to avoid local irritation, such as excessive sun exposure. For acne marks or pits that have formed, we can use topical ointments or medical skin care products that help to lighten acne marks, or treat them with red and blue light, laser, fruit acids, salicylic acid, ultra-pulsed light or local filler hyaluronic acid.
