Clinical often encounter such patients, physical examination found several tumor markers elevated, but could not find the reason; or the tumor has been diagnosed, and after some treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy, etc., but in the regular review found that a certain, or a few tumor markers elevated, and other tests do not support the conclusion that the tumor recurrence aggravated. For such patients, the author tends to regulate them through the method of traditional Chinese medicine, and most of them can receive more ideal results. For example, in the past two years, I have met patients with elevated CEA after postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer, elevated CA724 after chemotherapy for metastasis of gastric cancer adnexa, and elevated indexes after radiotherapy for colorectal cancer. After a period of time of TCM treatment, these indexes were reduced to the normal range while improving the symptoms, which stabilized the patient’s mood and improved the patient’s quality of life.
