How to perform a breast self-examination?

There are a variety of breast problems that can occur, but because of their superficial location, it is possible to detect abnormalities through self-examination and go to a specialist hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner. I recommend three methods: Self-examination in the mirror: face the mirror, cross your arms and observe the shape of your breasts. Then raise your arms above your head and carefully observe whether there is any change in the shape and contour of your breasts, whether there is any redness or orange peel-like change in the skin of your breasts, whether your nipples are at the same level, whether there is any elevated depression and retraction, and whether there is any abnormal discharge. The flat touch method: first lie on your back, with your right arm raised above your head and your left hand with all four limbs together, and use the palm of your fingertips to check for lumps in each area. There are three methods of inspection: first, the clockwise circular inspection method, which means that you use four fingers to inspect the nipple area from the inside out in a circular fashion starting from the nipple area. The second is the vertical belt examination method, in which the entire breast is examined from top to bottom with the fingertips of four fingers. The third is the wedge examination method, in which the ends of the four fingers are used to examine from the nipple outward in a radial pattern. The left breast is then examined in the same way, comparing the differences between the two sides. Finally, use the index finger and thumb to gently pinch the nipple and observe whether there is any overflow. Shower inspection method: It is easier to find problems when the skin is wet in the shower, by slowly sliding the palm of one finger and carefully examining all parts of the breast and the armpit for lumps. Breast examinations should be performed frequently, once a month, the best time is about a week after the onset of menstruation, and there is no need to be nervous if you find any problems through self-examination, go to the hospital for help as soon as possible.
