Chinese medicine treatment and prevention of urinary stones

  1, urinary stones is one of the urological diseases, more men than women, about 3:1; the recurrence rate is high and regional, and our region is one of the areas with high incidence of urinary stones. Epidemiological factors include age, gender, occupation, dietary composition and structure, water intake, climate, metabolic and genetic factors, etc.  2, urinary stones commonly manifest as hematuria and pain, which may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and pain radiating from the perineum. According to the size, number, location, kidney function and general condition, treatment is divided into conservative treatment, extracorporeal lithotripsy and surgical treatment.  3.Conservative treatment is suitable for stones less than 0.6cm in diameter, using Chinese medicine formula preparation, Chinese medicine acupuncture anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic treatment, drinking a lot of water, limiting the intake of high calcium, high protein, high sugar and high fat food, the cure rate is about 90%. Commonly used herbal medicines include money grass, stone reed, slippery stone, psyllium, chicken’s inner gold, sea gold sand, quai mai, etc.; commonly used acupuncture points include kidney yu, bladder yu, san yin jiao, ayurveda, etc.  4.Extracorporeal lithotripsy is suitable for stones larger than 0.6cm and smaller than 2cm, often requiring multiple lithotripsy, with high rate of residual stones. It is contraindicated in patients with bleeding tendency and cardiopulmonary insufficiency, and should be used with caution in patients with renal insufficiency and isolated kidney.  5.Surgical treatment is divided into non-open surgery and open surgery. Our department has carried out transurethral ureteroscopic pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrostomy to remove stones, which have relieved the pain of stones for thousands of patients in the past 6 years. Open surgery is suitable for the treatment of larger stones, but it has been gradually replaced by lumpectomy because of the large trauma and slow recovery.  Prevention of stones: (1) Drink more water, about 2000ml per day, and limit the intake of salt.  (2), do more outdoor exercise.  (3) Eat more citrus fruits.  (4) Unless there is clear hypercalciuria, it is not necessary to avoid milk and beans high calcium food.  (5) Regularly review ultrasound and urinary x-ray to achieve early detection and treatment.  (6) Collect stone fragments if necessary to analyze the stone composition and determine the specific treatment plan.  Calcium oxalate stones Avoid eating spinach, carrots, various dried fruits, chocolate, tea, wheat bran, strawberries, etc.  Uric acid stones Avoid eating animal offal and alcohol. Limit the intake of meat and fish to about 100 per day, eat less mushrooms and cauliflower to alkalize the urine.  Calcium phosphate stones Avoid eating pumpkin seeds, coffee, strong tea, etc.  Mixed calcium phosphate stones with magnesium amine carbonate Control urinary tract infection and acidify urine.
