What is middle ear cancer?

Middle ear cancer is a very rare malignant cancer that occurs in the middle ear. Many patients with middle ear cancer have a history of chronic suppurative otitis media. What are the characteristics of middle ear cancer symptoms are closely related to the following factors. 1. Pain in the ear. In the early stage of the disease, the first symptom of ear pain will appear, and there will often be swelling pain, deep stabbing pain and throbbing pain. In the late stage, the pain is more severe and can be continuous. These symptoms can be more severe at night, including the face, back of the ear, lateral temporal region, facial mastoid region, occipital region or neck. 2. Hearing loss in the ear. Patients will obviously have difficulty hearing clearly in the ear and also have tinnitus. As the disease continues to progress, it can cause damage to the patient’s more proximal organs and lead to peripheral facial paralysis. Injury to the inner ear can lead to vertigo, nystagmus, and balance disturbances. 3. Difficulty opening the mouth. In the early stage of inflammation, pain can lead to inflexibility of the jaw joint. However, in the advanced stage, the cancer will encroach on the mandibular joint, pterygoid muscle and trigeminal ascending meridian. It is suggested that we should pay attention to the physical changes in our daily life, and if we are unwell, we should go to a regular hospital for relevant consultation and treatment to prevent our health from being harmed.
