Drug treatment according to the type of otitis media is fast, otitis media is divided into secretory otitis media and purulent otitis media. Commonly used drugs include antibiotics, mucus drainage agents, nasal mucous membrane contraction agents, hormone drugs and so on.
1. Secretory otitis media: oral mucus promoter, such as eucalyptus pinocarpine enteric soft capsule, etc., to promote the discharge of middle ear secretion; topical 1% ephedrine and hormone-containing nasal drops alternately to keep the nasal cavity and the eustachian tube open; dexamethasone or prednisone and other glucocorticoid drugs orally as an adjunctive treatment.
2. Purulent otitis media: early application of adequate amount of moxifloxacin, ofloxacin and other antibiotics to control the infection during acute attack. Local antibiotic solution or a mixture of antibiotics and glucocorticoids should be given in the tympanic chamber to relieve mucosal congestion, edema and secretion.
