Is acute urticaria contagious?

The cause of acute urticaria is more complex, according to different sources, it can be divided into endogenous and exogenous, of which endogenous is persistent, including infection, mental factors, immune abnormality, etc., while exogenous factors are transient, including drugs, physical factors, food additives and food products, etc. Therefore, acute urticaria is not contagious. Acute urticaria has a rapid onset, and the main clinical manifestation is the appearance of windy, reddened skin, accompanied by intense itching, burning sensation, dyspnea, panic and other phenomena. The condition can be controlled by avoiding exposure to substances and medication (e.g. loratadine, cetirizine, prednisone, etc.). Acute urticaria has a good prognosis but is prone to recurrence.
