These patients can choose sulfonylureas, gliclazones, thiazolidinediones and other drugs under the guidance of the doctor, and they can gain a certain amount of body weight at the same time of lowering sugar. Type 2 diabetic patients in most cases are obese, but some patients are thin, may be related to strict dietary control, digestive system diseases and so on. These patients can choose sulfonylureas, such as gliclazide and glimepiride, under the guidance of the doctor, and glinide, represented by repaglinide and nateglinide, which can increase body weight but have the side effect of hypoglycemia; and thiazolidinediones, such as pioglitazone and rosiglitazone, which can increase body weight but do not cause hypoglycemia when used alone.
