Causes of appendicitis in women

The appendix is an immune organ. As the human body grows and develops, the immune function of the appendix gradually decreases until it disappears, so patients with appendicitis attacks are advised to undergo surgical removal of the appendix as early as possible for treatment. The causes of appendicitis in women and men are basically the same and are related to blockage of the appendiceal lumen, local bacterial invasion, appendiceal dysplasia, and intestinal dysfunction: 1. Blockage of the appendiceal lumen: Blockage of the appendiceal lumen is a common cause of appendicitis attacks, usually due to narrowing of the appendiceal lumen caused by intestinal stones, food residues, roundworms, etc., which in turn causes bacterial infection; 2. Local bacterial invasion The appendix is a long, thin, blind tube with a variety of pathogenic bacteria in the lumen, and blockage of the appendiceal lumen can lead to local breeding of Gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, and the toxins secreted by the bacteria can lead to necrosis of the appendiceal mucosa, which can cause an acute attack of appendicitis. 4, intestinal dysfunction: acute gastroenteritis, gastric ulcer and other gastrointestinal dysfunctional diseases can lead to visceral nerve dysfunction, which can cause intestinal smooth muscle, vascular spasm induced appendicitis; 5, other: mental and emotional tension, lower immunity and other reasons may also increase the chance of bacterial infection of the appendiceal cavity, and induce appendicitis to occur.
