Some patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia will have runny nose, but runny nose can be caused by many reasons, such as influenza and rhinitis. Most patients with clinical novel coronavirus pneumonia have fever, malaise, and a dry cough, while a small number of patients have a stuffy nose, runny nose, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea. The vast majority of patients have mild symptoms and recover within a week or so. A small number of patients with severe illness are in critical condition, and most of the deaths are in the elderly and people with underlying chronic heart, brain and lung diseases.
