Do you know about new advances in hematologic oncology?

At present, the Department of Hematology is focusing on the treatment of hematological tumors and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, raising the overall treatment level to a new level. nearly 300 cases of various types of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation have been completed at a high level in 7 years, covering all types of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, spanning the development history of international bone marrow transplantation for 50 years and domestic bone marrow transplantation for more than 30 years. The overall survival rate of transplanted patients at 5 years is over 70%, among which the overall survival rate of allogeneic transplant patients at the stable stage of disease has exceeded 80%, and the transplantation success rate has reached international and domestic leading levels, and some transplantation methods are the first of their kind in the world and China. The overall survival rate of patients who underwent allogeneic transplantation during the stable stage of the disease has exceeded 80%. We are the first in China to successfully carry out the application of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for the treatment of hereditary encephalopathy. The development of new technologies is the guarantee for the continuous development of the hematology department. The improvement of pretreatment of double cord blood transplantation for adult hematologic malignant diseases, donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) after transplantation for high-risk patients, immunotherapy with irradiated donor lymphocytes after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for leukemia, autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for primary systemic amyloidosis, early diagnosis and immunotherapy for lymphoproliferative diseases after transplantation, etc. are all at the domestic leading level. The Department of Hematology was the first in China to carry out multiple molecular diagnosis of hematologic tumors, which can simultaneously amplify dozens of leukemia genes, greatly improving the diagnosis of hematologic tumors and providing a strong basis for monitoring residual leukemia after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and adjusting post-transplantation treatment plans. Prof. Ping Zhu has carried out years of work in basic research and clinical application of immunotherapy, carrying out immune cell therapy for multiple myeloma, inert lymphoma and EBV infection with good efficacy, and also promoting immunotherapy for post-transplant viral infection and hematologic tumor recurrence, with research results at the leading level in China. After years of efforts, the Department of Hematology is now a national key clinical discipline, a standing committee unit of the Hematology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a training base for doctoral and master’s degrees of the Ministry of Education. At present, the department has 51 general beds and 10 laminar flow beds. It has been in the advanced level in China in the fields of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, comprehensive treatment of hematological tumors, molecular diagnosis of hematological diseases and immunotherapy of tumors, and some fields have reached the leading level in China and international advanced level. At present, there are 3 professors, 2 chief physicians, 4 deputy chief physicians, 6 attending physicians and 2 deputy chief technologists in the department. The department is equipped with advanced blood research room and high cleanliness cell culture room, capable of chromosome examination, immunophenotyping of leukemia, molecular biology diagnosis and immune effector cell preparation, which provides guarantee for the development of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and tumor immunotherapy. In recent years, we have received 4 national 863 key research projects, 1 national science and technology support program, 2 international cooperation projects, more than 10 national natural science funds, 4 Beijing natural science funds, 2 national doctoral funds from the Ministry of Education, 2 Peking University “211 project”, and 3 Peking University “9.5” projects. “He has published more than 300 papers in major journals at home and abroad. He has published more than 300 papers in major journals at home and abroad, 12 monographs, and 7 national and provincial awards. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary celebration of Peking University Hospital and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Hematology Oncology Summit Forum, all the medical and nursing staff of the Department of Hematology will continue to strive for even greater achievements based on today and looking forward to the future!
