Be cautious with nose surgery

In recent years, air pollution and antibiotic abuse have led to an increase in the number of patients with allergic rhinitis; allergic rhinitis day moxibustion can be complicated by sinusitis and turbinate hypertrophy, resulting in headaches, dizziness, nasal congestion and other symptoms. In addition, patients with deviated nasal septum also occupy a certain proportion of the normal population, and deviated nasal septum is directly related to the occurrence of rhinitis. When these patients go to western hospitals, doctors mostly recommend surgery or laser treatment. Many patients also want a “once and for all” treatment plan and undergo surgery. But can surgery be a “once and for all” treatment? Currently, there are many patients with rhinitis who have undergone surgery, and some have even undergone surgery twice. This shows that surgical treatment cannot be “once and for all”. Preliminary observations of the efficacy of acupuncture treatment showed that the efficacy of post-operative patients was less than that of those who did not undergo surgery, which may be related to the destruction of normal local tissues during surgery. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that patients with rhinitis be treated with caution and that those who can be treated conservatively be treated as conservatively as possible.
