Definition of insulin resistance syndrome: ① insulin resistance; ② abnormal glucose tolerance; ③ blood pressure ≥ 160/90 mmHg; ④ triglycerides ≥ 1.7 mmol/L, HDL L; ⑤ centripetal obesity; ⑥ body mass index BMI > 30 kg/m2; ⑦ waist-to-hip ratio, > 0.9 in men and > 0.85 in women; ⑧ hyperuricemia; ⑨ microalbuminuria. The presence of diabetes or hypoglycemic tolerance and or insulin resistance in an individual with a combination of more than 2 items at the same time can be defined as insulin resistance syndrome.
