What is acne?

Acne is a common dermatological disease caused by chronic inflammation of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles, mostly in adolescent men and women. Acne occurs on the face and back of the chest and can form black pimples, papules, pustules, nodules and other damage, sometimes forming scars, and affect the beauty of the face. The pathogenesis of acne is not well understood in modern medicine, but it is thought to be mainly related to androgen levels, hypercorticism, Propionibacterium acnes proliferation, and microorganisms in the hair follicle cortex. Certain diseases can also lead to acne, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, and the aggravation of acne is closely related to menstrual disorders. In addition, the occurrence of acne is also related to poor sleep, stimulating diet, and mental factors. According to Chinese medicine, the onset of acne is closely related to the lungs, spleen and stomach, and qi and blood: for example, wind-heat in the lung meridian that fumigates the face and develops on the skin; or excessive consumption of spicy, fatty and sweet foods that accumulate damp-heat in the spleen and stomach and cause heat toxicity to attack the skin; or imbalance in the rhythm of the rhythm of the rhythm of the rhythm of the rhythm of the spleen and blood, which leads to stagnation of qi and blood on the skin. Acupuncture has good efficacy in treating this disease. Local puncture and bloodletting, bleeding from positive reaction points on the back or cupping can directly clear damp-heat, cool the blood and detoxify the skin to treat the symptoms, and cooperate with distal points to strengthen the spleen and stomach and harmonize the Qi and blood to treat the root, which can treat both the symptoms and the root with solid efficacy. Patients should not neglect their regular regimen and should not be impatient in regulating their emotions; they should eat a light diet, avoid smoking and alcohol, spicy and oily foods, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. In addition, people with oily skin should also be careful with cosmetics to reduce the oil clogging the pores of the face and aggravate the symptoms.
