Sequelae of comminuted fractures of the third ankle

Three ankle comminuted fracture, if the fracture is very serious or improperly treated, may cause the following sequelae: 1. If the fracture is poorly aligned, there may be a deformed healing of the fracture, which will lead to the sequelae of obvious deformity of the joint. 2. It is possible that due to the strong comminuted fracture, the joint surface will be damaged, which will lead to damage to the articular cartilage, and the whole joint will appear to be more stiff in the later stage. 3. If the joint is damaged, it may lead to the later manifestation of traumatic arthritis, which may lead to degeneration of joint cartilage and osteophytes of the joint, and lead to long-term swelling and pain of the joint, and the pain will be aggravated when bearing weight or walking.
