Tumor stage is not defined according to the chemotherapy course. It is impossible to determine the specific stage of cancer after 6 courses of chemotherapy, but 6 times of chemotherapy generally indicates that the cancer is not very early. Chemotherapy is a very effective systemic treatment for malignant tumors, generally divided into radical chemotherapy, preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy and palliative chemotherapy for advanced tumors. Some patients need 4-8 courses of preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy, which aims to shrink the tumor, reduce the stage and turn an otherwise inoperable situation into an operable one. And some advanced tumors may require more chemotherapy, 10-20 times are possible, in order to control the progression of the disease and prolong the survival. And some of the tumors that are not very early stage, after having surgery, post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy also needs at least 4-6 courses of chemotherapy, or even 8 courses of chemotherapy. During chemotherapy, tumor patients must keep a good attitude, don’t give up and actively cooperate with doctors to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time.
