There are three ways to deal with brain tumors: surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy

Craniocerebral tumors can occur at any age and commonly include meningioma, pituitary tumor, pituitary adenoma and so on. The incidence of craniocerebral tumors has been on the rise in recent years, which seriously endangers human health and threatens life in serious cases. However, some brain tumors can be cured, and patients can control and eliminate the tumors as soon as possible after early detection and correct, scientific and effective treatment. With the gradual improvement of medical level, there are mainly three kinds of conventional treatments for craniocerebral tumors: I. Surgical resection Surgery is one of the main methods for treating brain tumors, most of the benign tumors can be cured by surgery, and most of the malignant tumors can be completely resected for the comparatively small or limited tumors, and the maximum removal of tumor loading and biopsy can be achieved when the tumors can’t be completely resected to create the conditions for further comprehensive treatment. If necessary, surgery can also be used to reduce intracranial pressure and alleviate pain. Radiotherapy is the use of high-energy rays to destroy the tumor cells in order to prevent the growth and reproduction of tumor cells. It adopts omni-directional rotational radiotherapy technology to make the tumor shrink or even disappear after irradiation in multiple directions. Radiotherapy is mainly used for most of the primary brain tumors after surgery, but also used for some brain metastases, some small benign primary tumors and germ cell tumors. Chemotherapy Chemotherapy is to kill tumor cells with powerful drugs, purely or jointly. For infiltrative glioblastoma and intracranial metastases that cannot be completely resected, chemotherapy can be used to improve the efficacy of surgery and radiation therapy, prevent tumor recurrence and reduce headache. Chemotherapy can also be tried for recurrent headaches of benign intracranial tumors. For tumors in the deep part of the brain that cannot be removed and tumors that are not sensitive to radiation, chemotherapy can be used alone. Doctor’s tip: Surgical resection, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are the common treatments for cranial brain tumors, the specific application of which treatment requires the patients to go to regular professional hospitals for examination, and choose the appropriate treatment according to the specific disease conditions.
