Chronic lower extremity pain and numbness, a clinical symptom that we often encounter, either unilateral or bilateral, or accompanied by lumbar symptoms, most of which are diagnosed as “lumbar disc herniation” by CT examination, however, clinical treatment of the lumbar region alone may not be effective. We found from a large number of clinical cases, no matter what the cause of pain and numbness in the lower limbs (root or dry), as long as we can find the pressure and pain in the buttocks, and targeting it for needle and knife release, most of the cases can be quickly relieved of pain and numbness symptoms. First, the treatment method: 1, select points: (1) in the buttocks of the gluteus medius, pyriformis muscle, broad fascia tensor muscle, paraspinal, sciatic tuberosity and other parts of the search for positive reflective points (pressure and pain, striations, hard knots), a selection of 3-6 points. (2) For those with lumbar symptoms, search for pressure points in the lumbar articular eminence, transverse process, spinous process, etc., and select 2-5 points at a time. (3) For patients with a long course of disease, stubborn and difficult to treat, the later stages of treatment should also look for positive reflective points in the thighs, calves and other places. (1) In addition to the upper and lower holes of the pyriform muscle, the incision line is parallel to the direction of the muscle fibers into the needle, slightly lifting the bone surface, longitudinal sparing, transverse stripping, and then, transverse rotation of the incision, cut off part of the muscle fibers. (2) When loosening the upper and lower holes of the pyriformis muscle, the incision line is always parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nerves and blood vessels, and the needle is not forced to the surface of the bone, and when the patient meets the sense of resistance, and the patient does not have a sense of discharge and severe pain in the lower limbs, it is possible to carry out the method of cutting and swinging, but it is advisable to cut less and swing more. 3, needle knife treatment 5-7 days 1 time, the patient is required to treat 3-5 times. Second, the efficacy of the analysis: chronic lower limb pain, numbness, the most common in lumbar disc herniation, but also in the lumbar spine after the joint degenerative diseases, spinal stenosis, chronic injury of the hip muscles and so on. Theoretically, it is mainly due to the nerve of the lower limbs, especially the sciatic nerve, which is compressed at the root or stem, thus causing radiating pain and numbness in the lower limbs.
