Haematuria can be classified into carnal haematuria and microscopic haematuria. Naked-eye haematuria is urine that has a strong tea, washed water-like colour. Microscopic haematuria is the same appearance as normal, except that red blood cells are found in the urine through a high-powered microscope, hence the name microscopic haematuria.
