Varicella vaccine is mainly injected subcutaneously at the lower edge of the deltoid muscle on the lateral side of the upper arm, and the main observation after vaccination is the adverse reaction of the injector. Pain and tenderness may occur at the site of injection within 24 hours after vaccination, which will disappear on its own in most patients in about 2-3 days. Most of them are mild and will go away on their own after 1 or 2 days and do not require treatment. If necessary, the vaccinated person can rest, drink more water and keep warm. For people with high fever or fever lasting more than 48 hours, physical cooling or symptomatic treatment with medicine can be used. A small number of children may develop a transient rash within 6-12 days after vaccination, which may resolve on its own within 2 days and does not require special treatment.
