What are the most common types of skin ulcers?

Skin ulcers are most commonly seen in people who are immunocompromised, such as those who have been on glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants and other medications for a long time, or those who have tumours, AIDS, diabetes and other diseases. It can also be seen in people whose skin barrier function is impaired or in a more vulnerable state, such as those who are young or old, traumatised or tattooed. People with high exposure to pathogenic microorganisms, such as those who live in wet or tropical areas for a long time or have poor personal hygiene habits, are prone to skin ulcers.
