Do I need regular annual infusions for cerebral thrombosis?

  Patient Question: Do I need regular infusions after being discharged from the hospital for cerebral thrombosis?  The patient was 60 years old, had a 10-year history of hypertension and was taking antihypertensive medication for a long time. in March 2014, he suddenly had weakness and slow response in the right limb, went to the hospital for an MRI, and was diagnosed with acute cerebral infarction in the left basal ganglia. He was subsequently admitted to hospital and discharged after 10 days of oral medication and infusion.  Help wanted:I would like to consult with the doctor, do I need to take medication for a long time after discharge? Do I need to go to the hospital for infusion regularly every year?
