Treatment of chronic urticaria and common problems

Common clinical questions for patients with chronic urticaria are answered together as follows, and patients attending the clinic are asked to read and adhere to the treatment: 1. What causes? Food, drugs, infections, inhalants, physical factors and systemic diseases are all common causes of chronic urticaria in several broad categories, and when it comes down to each patient, it may be only one of these broad categories. There are many tests available, but they are of limited clinical significance. 2.How can I prevent it? Is it necessary to abstain from eating? The patient’s diary is the most direct and effective means of discovering the cause of urticaria, and is also an important aid to the observation of the efficacy of treatment. Since food is only one of the causes, patients are generally not advised to abstain from eating unless they have a clear food cause for the rash to flare up. 3. How long is the treatment? The duration of treatment needs to be individualized by the doctor according to the patient’s response to treatment, and is usually no less than 6 weeks. 4.Can it be cured? After standardized treatment, the majority of patients can achieve significant clinical remission and improvement, and the quality of life is significantly improved. 5.Is the treatment drug safe? At present, therapeutic drugs have been marketed and applied for many years, and there are no obvious visible side effects reported, and the safety in the population is very high. Of course, it does not mean that every patient must not experience any side effects, and any drug may have adverse reactions.
