The difference between ovarian cysts and polycystic

The first difference between ovarian cysts and polycystic is the morphology. Cysts are often single cysts, while polycystic means that there are more than 12 follicles in the ovaries bilaterally and each follicle will not develop to maturity, both are pathological states. Ovarian cysts are recommended to be treated surgically, while polycystic ovaries are overwhelmingly treated without surgery. If androgens are high, hypoandrogenic treatment can be given. The symptoms caused by polycystic ovaries are also different in clinical practice. The vast majority of ovarian cysts do not have any symptoms unless they are very large and can be felt in the lower abdomen or cause irregular menstruation. Polycystic ovaries mainly cause weight gain, prolonged menstrual cycle or menopause, and hirsutism.
