What are the signs of small bowel injury?

Typical symptoms in patients with small bowel injury are pallor, abdominal pain and shock, with typical signs of pressure pain, rebound pain and muscle tension, similar to most acute abdominal conditions, and can be identified by laparotomy or abdominal CT. However, in some patients, the rupture of the small intestine is not large and does not contaminate the abdominal cavity, so there may be no manifestations of peritonitis.
