What is the difference between stroke, cerebral infarction and cerebral embolism?

Strokes can be divided into ischaemic strokes and haemorrhagic strokes. Ischemic strokes, i.e. cerebral infarction, can be subdivided into cerebral thrombosis and cerebral embolism; haemorrhagic strokes include subarachnoid haemorrhage and cerebral haemorrhage.
