Cerebral infarction, now called cerebral infarction, is a group of clinical syndromes with neurological deficits due to localized brain tissue ischemia, hypoxia and necrosis caused by various reasons. Although cerebral infarction is characterized by high morbidity and disability, most patients with cerebral infarction can maintain a normal life without obvious sequelae after timely and standardized treatment. The treatment of cerebral infarction mainly includes general treatment, special treatment and recovery treatment. General treatment is mainly symptomatic treatment, including control of blood pressure, blood sugar, prevention of infection and maintenance of water-electrolyte balance. Special treatment mainly includes the application of urokinase, recombinant tissue fibrinogen activator and other drugs for thrombolytic therapy during the hyperacute period; the application of aspirin or clopidogrel and other drugs for antiplatelet aggregation therapy; and the addition of edaravone, oracetam and other drugs for cerebral protection therapy. Treatment during the recovery period mainly includes active treatment of underlying diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, regulation of lifestyle, and the addition of aspirin and statin drugs for cerebrovascular disease control and prevention treatment according to the condition. It should be noted that the prognosis of patients with cerebral infarction is directly related to the patient’s condition, the timing and effect of treatment, and the patient’s health status. Some patients with more underlying diseases, large infarct areas, serious conditions or untimely treatment can develop significant neurological impairment, which can even endanger patients’ lives and leave symptoms such as hemiplegia and speech impairment if they survive. In summary, cerebral infarction has a high disability rate, and patients with the onset of the disease should undergo timely and regular treatment to save brain function to the maximum extent and strive to restore normal functional status.
