Fever, pediatricians teach you how to properly determine fever.

The easiest way to determine if you have a fever is to use a thermometer to measure your body temperature. Generally thermometers measure axillary temperature, but anal temperature can also be measured, but you need to use a different kind of thermometer. Usually, if the axillary temperature exceeds 37.3°C, it can be diagnosed as fever. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can also ask the person next to you to touch your forehead with the back of your hand to check the temperature. If the forehead is much hotter than the person next to you, you must have a fever. In addition, fever can also be characterized by generalized symptoms such as chills, shivering, dry skin, loss of appetite, and weakness, which can be combined to determine whether a fever is present. If the symptoms of fever appear, the body temperature is not particularly high, not exceeding 38℃, and the discomfort is not serious, the fever can be reduced by physical cooling; if it exceeds 38℃ or even 39℃, and the discomfort is obvious, some antipyretic and analgesic drugs can be applied to help reduce the body temperature.
