Subhealth chronic fatigue

At present, Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CACM) is undertaking a project of “The Third Batch of Advantageous Diseases” of CACM on “Research on the Efficacy of Chinese Medicine for Chronic Fatigue in Subhealth”. In fact, as early as March 2005, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine started a clinical study on the evidence of subhealth fatigue. The results of the study showed that among the 125 patients treated, the efficiency of Chinese medicine was as high as 88.6%. All the patients did not have any abnormal liver and kidney function and adverse reactions during the treatment period of Chinese medicine, which proved the safety and reliability of Chinese medicine. At present, the sub-healthy population in China accounts for about 3/4 of the total population. Patients with fatigue as the main manifestation are the most common in the subhealth population, which are mostly concentrated between the ages of 20 and 55 and usually have high work pressure. For patients with fatigue, fatigue for more than three months seriously affects their work and life, and fatigue makes them feel that life and work are not fun, but become an invisible pressure, unable to concentrate at work, yawning all the time, and a significant decrease in efficiency. In addition to the above performance, most of these people are accompanied by sleep and stool abnormalities, but after repeated medical examinations, no organic pathology can be detected, and fatigue becomes unexplainable. However, it is necessary to exclude fatigue caused by diseases, such as hepatitis, anemia and depression, when diagnosing subhealth fatigue. Chen Zhiwei, director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Xiyuan Hospital, told reporters that fatigue lasting for more than six months cannot be effectively relieved by rest, and no organic lesions and psychiatric diseases are found in the relevant examination, or the current symptoms cannot be explained despite organic lesions. Director Chen introduced that as early as in the Nei Jing, there are “tiredness”, “decay”, “sleepy thinness”, “body weight”, “body weight”, “fatigue”, “fatigue”, “fatigue”, “fatigue” and “fatigue”, The descriptions of fatigue such as “weight” and “limbs not lifting” were recognized at that time as being closely related to spleen deficiency. On the basis of summarizing the theories and clinical experience of previous authors combined with the current situation of society (fast-paced life and high work pressure), it was proposed that the pathogenesis of subnormal fatigue evidence is mainly the dysfunction of liver and spleen. Chinese herbal treatment can improve the body’s ability to regulate the external environment (such as stress, changes in the work environment, etc.) and self-generated homeostasis by regulating the three organs of the liver, spleen and heart, regulating the qi flow, nourishing blood and calming the mind, in order to alleviate fatigue, improve work efficiency and improve the quality of life. In the study, the herbal granule treatment they used overcame the disadvantage that the decoction of herbal tonics was time-consuming and labor-intensive and the medicinal effects could not be standardized and unified. Patients only need to visit the hospital once a week for a follow-up visit, which takes about 20 minutes each time, and are entitled to free treatment for three weeks during the enrollment observation period.
