Not eating and not drinking in the late stage of cancer is mostly caused by cachexia, the survival time in this case is not long, probably in 1~3 weeks, and the exact number of days to persist is not clear.
In cases of late stage cancer where there is no food or drink, adjuvant treatment with nutritional support, such as intravenous maintenance nutrition or the use of enteral nutrition, may prolong survival time. If multiple organ dysfunction has developed, it is difficult to prolong life even with nutritional support fluids.
