What causes sweaty hands in children

Unlike adults, babies and young children are more prone to sweating and fever because their thermoregulatory centres are not yet fully developed and heat production and dissipation are often not precisely regulated.
The most common cause of hand sweating is also due to an underdeveloped thermoregulatory centre, which usually improves with growth and development. In addition, as in adults, sweaty hands can be caused by a variety of conditions and should be judged accordingly and considered in the light of other symptoms.
