Incidence and prognosis of bone metastases from common tumors

More than 80% of bone metastases come from breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, thyroid cancer and kidney cancer. 1. Bone metastasis of breast cancer: the incidence rate is as high as 65%–75%, which is related to the good prognosis of breast cancer. This is related to the good prognosis of breast cancer, because the median survival period of breast cancer patients is still as long as 2 years after the discovery of bone metastases. Therefore, relatively active treatment strategy should be adopted. Bone metastasis of prostate cancer: similar to breast cancer, prostate cancer has high incidence of bone metastasis, and the metastatic foci are mostly osteogenic, prostate-specific antigen PsA is an important clinical parameter, and most of the early prostate cancers are hormone-dependent, so the prognosis is better. Lung cancer bone metastasis: the incidence rate is 30%,-,40%, the prognosis is very poor, the 1-year survival rate is about 5%. Kidney cancer bone metastasis: the incidence rate is as high as 25%. After resection of kidney primary foci, some cases of metastatic foci will have the tendency of self-healing, so the preventive internal fixation of kidney cancer bone metastasis should take a positive attitude. 5. Bone metastasis of thyroid cancer: thyroid cancer is also prone to bone metastasis, and the degree of osteolytic destruction of the lesion is often very serious, with a high incidence of pathological fracture; prophylactic internal fixation can effectively prevent the fracture from occurring, and can be combined with internal irradiation of 131 I or radiotherapy after the operation, with a good prognosis.
