What is a child’s fever and tummy ache?

In children with tummy pain and fever, gastrointestinal infections are most often considered. The most common cause is acute enteritis, followed by acute appendicitis. Acute enteritis is often accompanied by digestive symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea, having eaten something unclean; there is a possibility of infection with bacteria and viruses. It is important to seek prompt medical attention and complete relevant abdominal tests to further clarify the cause. Also during the fever, take rest, drink plenty of warm water and eat a light diet. If there is only fever and abdominal pain with no other discomfort, be alert to acute appendicitis.
