The most common causes of paediatric fever are infectious diseases, mainly respiratory tract infections, such as acute upper respiratory tract infections and bronchopneumonia. Because of its rapid onset and early symptoms, it is not easy to distinguish from the common cold, and if not treated promptly, high fever may appear.
