One person fixes the child’s head and limbs, one person gently presses the lower eyelid and puts in one drop of eye medication; if only one person is caring for the child, the medication can be ordered while the child is asleep. Again, pull the lower eyelid gently with one hand and put 1 drop of eye medicine in the other hand. Be careful not to hold the bottle too high, as the drops will irritate the eyes. However, it should not be held too low to prevent the mouth of the bottle from touching the eyes, generally 1-2cm is appropriate. The cap should be placed upside down, and the mouth of the bottle should not touch other objects, and be covered in time after use to prevent contamination. The eye medicine bottle should be kept in a cool place. If the drops spill, wipe them away with a clean dry cotton ball or a clean tissue, avoid wiping the eyes with unclean objects. If the child does not have obvious eye discharge do not apply antibiotic eye drops for a long time. 5, parents at home for the child to do the tear sac massage will sometimes make the child’s obstruction will be self-healing, especially the younger children. The massage method of the tear sac area is simple and safe and convenient, and the child is painless and not limited by time and place. Therefore, parents can keep massaging their children every day. However, the most important thing is to clean up the secretions from the child’s eyes in a timely manner to reduce the irritation to the skin. If your child is still unable to clear the discharge on his or her own at about 4 months, it is time to go to the hospital for further treatment.
