Cure rate of lymphoma in China

This reporter recently learned from the Department of Hematology of Peking University Hospital that China’s lymphoma targeted combination chemotherapy technology is in line with international standards, with a cure rate of about 70% for lymphoma. ”The most common diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in China has a cure rate of 70% with the treatment of rituximab (Meroval) combined with CHOP regimen. And more than 80% of early-stage Hodgkin’s lymphoma can be cured.” Lymphoma is a malignant tumor that occurs in lymphatic tissue, mainly in superficial areas of the body such as the neck, supraclavicular, axillary, supraclavicular (the inner part of the upper arm, 3-4 cm above the elbow fossa), and groin, as well as in body cavities such as the chest and abdominal cavities. Lymph nodes in superficial areas can be easily felt by touch, while lymph nodes in body cavities can be detected by ultrasound or CT scan. Most lymphomas begin with “progressive painless lymph node enlargement,” especially in the neck. Therefore, if a painless lump is felt in a superficial lymph node area and tends to grow, it should not be taken lightly and should be seen as soon as possible. The earlier it is detected, the better the chance of cure.
