Tests for undifferentiated somatoform disorders

  Patients with undifferentiated somatoform disorder complain of one or more somatic symptoms, for which they are distressed, but medical examination does not reveal evidence of somatic disease or any organic pathology. The duration of the disease is more than six months and there is significant social dysfunction. Common symptoms include fatigue, lack of appetite, and gastrointestinal or urinary tract discomfort. This clinical type can be seen as an atypical somatization disorder. Its symptoms are less extensive and less abundant than those of somatization disorders, and its duration is not always longer than 2 years. The examination items of undifferentiated somatoform disorder are mainly blood analysis and symptom criteria.  1. Symptom criteria: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria of neurosis. (2) Somatic symptoms are predominant, with at least one of the following: (1) excessive concern for somatic symptoms (the severity is obviously disproportionate to the actual situation), but not delusional; (2) excessive concern for physical health, such as excessive concern for physiological phenomena and abnormal sensations that usually occur, but not delusional. (3) repeatedly seek medical treatment or request medical examination, but the negative results of the examination and the reasonable explanation of the doctor cannot dispel their concerns.  2.Course of illness criteria: meet the symptom criteria has been at least 3 months (somatoform disorder requires at least 2 years, undifferentiated somatoform disorder and somatoform pain disorder requires at least half a year.  3.Severity criteria: impaired social function.  4, Exclusion criteria: exclude other neurotic disorders, depression, schizophrenia and paranoid psychotic disorders.
