Is neonatal pneumonia curable?

At present, mild neonatal pneumonia is still relatively easy to cure, depending on the type of disease to determine whether it is curable or not. Neonatal pneumonia refers to the inflammatory pathological changes in the lungs of newborns caused by inhalation of amniotic fluid, meconium, stomach contents and other foreign bodies in the uterus or after birth, or by bacterial or viral infections. Mild cases are easier to cure, while severe cases are not easy to cure. The child is seen to have yellow coloration of the skin and umbilical cord, and respiratory distress after birth. If the child inhales less amniotic fluid, the symptoms are mild. If a large amount of meconium is inhaled, the fetus can be killed or die soon after birth. The course of neonatal pneumonia usually takes 1 to 2 weeks. For meconium aspiration pneumonia, the main treatment is to remove meconium, give nebulization, sputum and oxygen inhalation and other symptomatic treatment. The treatment of infectious pneumonia is mainly based on anti-infective treatment, such as macrolide antibiotics. Hypoxic children should be given appropriate oxygen therapy to keep the airway open. Neonatal pneumonia progresses quickly, it is recommended that children with any discomfort consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of the doctor active treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
