In patients with fractures fixed with plates, the time for injection of anti-inflammatory drugs after plate removal depends on the patient’s specific situation and cannot be generalized. After the fracture is fixed with a plate, the plate can be removed when the fracture is completely healed and the functional rehabilitation of the whole limb or joint has been completed and the patient is able to return to the normal level of daily life. The surgery to remove the plate is sterile and the wound is aseptic, so it can be considered without anti-inflammatory injection or prophylactic anti-inflammatory injection for 1-3 days, which is not needed for a long time. In addition, because of the bone destruction left by the steel nail in the bone after surgery, patients should usually avoid strenuous exercise and heavy physical activity for three months.
