High Risk Groups for Breast Cancer

With the increasing modernization of society, the pace of life has accelerated significantly, making women’s life and work increasingly stressful, which on the one hand poses a great danger to their health, and on the other hand makes them gradually neglect their health status. Due to the influence of various factors from life, work and environment, breast diseases have become the main cause of health hazards for women, among which breast cancer has become the first malignant tumor incidence among women in some cities in China. Fortunately, breast cancer is one of the few malignant tumors that have been proven by research and practice to reduce mortality through screening. Early-stage breast cancer detected by screening has good treatment outcomes, good prognosis, and a much better quality of life for patients. Some patients with early breast cancer detected by screening can be spared from the toxic side effects of radiotherapy, and breast-conserving surgery can be performed for early breast cancer, which will give patients great psychological comfort and high quality of life. Screening for breast cancer is generally recommended for women starting at the age of 40, but for those with high risk factors for breast cancer, it is recommended to start screening earlier than 20 years old.
