What is the cause of continuous yawning after drinking?

The body undergoes a series of changes after drinking to metabolise the excessive intake of alcohol, and if the metabolic capacity exceeds the body’s tolerance, alcohol intoxication will occur, mainly affecting the metabolism of the nervous system, causing ischaemia and hypoxia in the brain, which in turn causes a special breathing movement that produces yawning to relieve it. For yawning episodes caused by drinking, it is recommended to avoid excessive alcohol intake on a daily basis.
