Is fever 38 degrees serious in adults?

A fever of 38°C in adults is not serious, but if the temperature does not drop persistently, you should actively seek medical treatment at a fever clinic or internal medicine department. Clinically, different grades of fever are classified according to the value of body temperature. Body temperature between 37.3℃-38℃ is low fever, 38.1-39℃ is moderate fever, 39.1-41℃ is high fever, and over 41℃ is ultra-high fever. Therefore, fever of 38℃ belongs to low fever and the condition is mild. Physical therapy can be given to control the body temperature, such as wiping the palms of hands, feet, armpits, groin and other parts that can easily dissipate heat with warm water or alcohol. Pay attention to warming measures, drink more water, and eat a light, easily digestible diet, avoiding greasy and stimulating foods, and avoiding smoking and alcohol. If the body temperature remains high, you should seek medical treatment promptly and take antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drugs as prescribed by the doctor to improve the condition. In life, patients should pay attention to moderate exercise to improve their immunity and reduce the incidence of colds, fevers and other diseases.
