There are two main types of targeted drugs for the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, one is a monoclonal drug and the other is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Monoclonal drugs include cetuximab, nitrozumab, bevacizumab, and trastuzumab. The tyrosine kinase inhibitors mainly include gefitinib, erlotinib, sorafenib, afatinib, imatinib, etc. These targeted drugs, especially monoclonal antibodies, are often not used alone, and most of them are used simultaneously with radiotherapy or chemotherapy, and the effect of the simultaneous use is better than that of the targeted drugs alone. If the patient’s general condition is good, the combination of targeted drugs with simultaneous radiotherapy and chemotherapy has the best effect and is most likely to prolong the patient’s life.
