Diet and tumor prevention

In the study of dietary factors that increase and decrease the risk of cancer occurrence, scientists found that dietary factors that definitely increase cancer occurrence are: overweight/obesity, alcohol consumption, aflatoxin, Chinese salted fish; dietary factors that are likely to increase cancer occurrence are: red meat/salted meat, preserved food/salt, hot drinks/food; and dietary factors that are likely to decrease the risk of cancer occurrence are vegetables and fruits. How can we prevent tumors by improving our diet? Here are some specific, simple and effective suggestions: 1. Reduce carcinogens and carcinogenic precursors in food: Reduce the intake of pickled foods: the carcinogenic factors are nitrite, amines and nitrosamines. Avoid moldy foods: the carcinogenic factors are aflatoxins. Reduce smoking, frying and baking: the carcinogenic factors are protein pyrolysis and benzo(a)pyrene. 2.Balanced diet: diversified food, complete and balanced nutrients. 3.Increase protective nutrients: increase meat, fish, eggs, milk and soybean products; increase dietary fiber; eat antibacterial foods such as garlic and leek; eat more foods that improve immune function such as shiitake mushrooms, mushrooms and other fungal foods; increase antioxidant nutrients: eat more fresh vegetables and fruits and foods rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, beta-carotene, vitamin E and selenium. These foods have antioxidant, scavenging free radicals, promoting normal cell differentiation, improving immune function, protecting cell membrane and mitochondrial membrane structure and function. 4.Maintain normal body weight and restrict caloric energy intake. 5.Fat diet control at 20-25% of total caloric energy: At the same time the intake of saturated fatty acids, monosaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids are approximately equal. 6.Salt limit: Limit to 6 grams per day. Good living and eating habits are the main methods to prevent tumors. Maintain a regular diet, do not eat too fast or too hot; do not drink strong alcohol and do not smoke; be optimistic and cheerful, exercise regularly; follow up regularly for chronic precancerous lesions.
