High myopia is defined as myopia of more than 600 degrees or more. For patients with high myopia, there is no good non-surgical treatment to reduce or restore myopia once it has developed. If the patient is an adult and the myopia has been stable for more than a year, myopia can be corrected by laser surgery or IOL implantation. If the patient is a minor and cannot be treated surgically, the treatment focuses on controlling and delaying the growth of myopia as much as possible, mainly by wearing keratoplasty lenses, ordering low concentration atropine drops, and increasing the time spent outdoors. Take care to reduce the amount of time spent in close proximity and do not use your eyes in dim or bumpy environments.
