Influenza A is an acute upper respiratory tract infection caused by influenza A virus, which can usually be cured in 1-2 weeks if there are no other complications. Influenza A is transmitted mainly by droplets through the respiratory tract, but also through direct or indirect contact with mucous membranes in the mouth, nasal cavity and eyes. The incubation period is usually 1-7 days, mostly 1-3 days. Most patients have a rapid onset, with fever as the first symptom, which is characterized by a rapid onset of fever, reaching more than 38°C within a few hours, and the fever usually lasts for 2-3 days. In mild cases, the symptoms are mild and can be self-limiting; in severe cases, the onset of illness is rapid and the temperature rises rapidly to over 39°C. In a few cases, the disease progresses rapidly and respiratory failure, multi-organ insufficiency or failure can occur. Influenza A should be treated in isolation for suspected cases, clinically diagnosed cases and confirmed cases. Usually, a light and easy-to-digest diet should be used to ensure sufficient nutritional intake and improve immunity; develop good personal hygiene habits and diligent indoor ventilation.
