Sore throat is not a typical manifestation of novel coronavirus pneumonia, but some patients may have sore throat as a manifestation of upper respiratory tract infection. The main manifestations of novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever, malaise and dry cough. A few patients have symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose and diarrhea, while some patients only have low fever and mild malaise without pneumonia. If the patient has a history of travel or residence in the infected area, or has been in contact with people who have returned from the infected area and have symptoms of respiratory infection such as fever and cough, the health condition should be continuously observed for 14 days. If symptoms do not resolve or continue to worsen, prompt medical attention is required.
