Traction is a common means of orthopedic treatment, including therapeutic traction and temporary traction prior to surgery. Through the pull of gravity, it acts on the affected limb to relieve the tension and retraction of soft tissues at the fracture, so as to reset the fracture and achieve the treatment purpose. However, the following matters should be noted in actual operation: 1. maintain normal traction force line and even horizontal traction weight; 2. closely observe limb blood flow, skin sensation and motor function; 3. pay attention to limb warmth and prevent skin pressure sores; 4. perform more functional exercises to prevent muscle atrophy and joint stiffness.
