Iodine 125 radioactive particle implantation for abdominal metastases

The patient, a 73-year-old male, came to our department for treatment of postoperative local recurrence of bladder cancer and abdominal implantation without surgical indication. After iodine 125 particle implantation, the abdominal tumor shrank significantly, but unfortunately the bladder tumor was not controlled. After bladder cancer surgery, abdominal tumor tumor appeared. Abdominal tumor Abdominal tumor Abdominal tumor Bladder cancer recurred and the tumor invaded the rectum. The tumor shrank after interventional chemotherapy, CT-guided puncture of the abdominal tumor and implantation of iodine 125 particles. After 5 months, the abdominal tumor was completely inactivated and only the aggregated particles remained. The bladder tumor progressed, forming a rectal bladder leak, and a bowel fistula was performed. Comment: The patient’s postoperative bladder cancer, abdominal cavity implantation tumor, previous methods of treatment is difficult, take iodine 125 radioactive particle implantation, the effect is remarkable, smooth operation of the case, the next day can be discharged, we have done many cases are excellent results, is a very good treatment method of abdominal cavity tumor tumor. The patient’s bladder cancer recurred after surgery, we usually take the method of internal iliac artery infusion for treatment, most patients have good results. This patient, because the initial diagnosis of the tumor has invaded the rectum, and then the tumor progressed, there was rectal bladder leakage, and the new intestinal fistula solved the stool problem. No further intervention for bladder tumor was performed because of the patient’s frailty in old age.
