Breast hyperplasia is common in women of childbearing age, and is more common in women aged 30 to 50. The etiology of breast hyperplasia is not well understood, and is currently thought to be related to endocrine disorders and psychiatric factors. A decrease in luteinizing hormone secretion and a relative increase in estrogen are important causes of this disease. In terms of symptoms, breast enlargement is mainly painful, which affects women’s life and emotions. Breast enlargement is very unlikely to become cancerous, and as we often tell our patients in the clinic, there is no statistically significant difference in the chances of a particular patient getting cancer in an area that is enlarged and one that is not. So women with breast enlargement should not feel any psychological burden. There is no direct relationship between breast enlargement and breast cancer, so there is no need to treat breast enlargement deliberately. However, if the pain affects your mood and life, we suggest that it can be treated with medication. The purpose of the treatment is not to cure breast enlargement, which is impossible, but mainly to relieve the pain. A good number of medicines for activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis have this effect. If it is clear that it is breast hyperplasia, the so-called classification (i.e. mild, moderate, severe) does not make any difference to us, the key is whether you can tolerate the pain or not, as long as you can tolerate the pain or the pain does not have much effect, our point of view is that you can leave it alone. In addition, emotional relaxation is very important, emotional relaxation may ease the pain; however, if the pain is obvious it is still recommended to use medication to relieve it.
